About me

Naomi F. Maxwell began teaching private music lessons in 2010. She has a passion for music education and enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. She has taught students ranging from age five to adult, and is a member of the National Association for Music Education and the American Harp Society. In addition to her experience teaching music, Ms. Maxwell has worked as an educator in Seoul, South Korea, where she taught English as a foreign language to elementary students.

Specialties

Naomi practices a student-centered teaching approach and tailors instruction to the unique needs and goals of each student. Specialties include teaching beginning students, adult students, music theory, improvisation, and composition.

Lesson details

Lessons take place weekly at the studio in north Tacoma, and are available in 30-minute, 45-minute, and hour segments. Prospective students are invited to schedule a free trial lesson to discuss their musical interests and determine a good fit with the teacher.
