About me

Emilija Lale, Music Teacher and Choir Director was born in Macedonia,former republic of Yugoslavia, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Choir Conducting.
An accomplished musical artist, Emilija had a prolific and impressive performing and teaching career throughout Europe before she moved to Canada in 2004.
She held an Assistant Professor of Choral Music and Conducting at the University of Skopje, and she is internationally awarded artist.
Since she moved to Canada, Emilija has maintained a successful music teaching studio, educating young talents in Piano Performance, Music Theory, History, Harmony, Counterpoint and Music Analyses, practicing the
curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Her teaching methods are based on the Russian music teaching pedagogy.
Her enthusiastic personality, and ability to create fun, yet challenging and motivating environment for her students as well as her sincere and dedicated work made Emilija one of the most sought after teachers in Vancouver area.

Her students are awarded highest marks on their RCM exams, and are regular performers and award winners at the local Piano Competitions and Festivals.

Inspired by the young talents, Emilija's teaching philosophy is to nourish and develop student's musical skills and abilities while encouraging an enthusiastic approach towards practicing and goal setting.
