About me

I'm Angela and I LOVE teaching piano! My musical career began at the age of 12 with a combination of piano and clarinet playing. I continued both lessons until 18 at which time I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Personal Communications and Family Services which makes one wonder why this helped develop me in my musical abilities to which I answer with the fact that it enhanced my teaching skills. My background combines my talents as a musician and the analytical ability to see the best way to teach the individual. I know that each of us is different which requires different methods in teaching. I love taking the time for each of my students to decide which approach to learning would best suit them. I also believe that music should be the reward for practicing. When students finish a piece, I give them a new piece of music of their own choosing so they will want to practice. It makes perfect sense to make the reward something that will improve a student's talents. Again, I love teaching and look forward to any inquiries.
