About me

I am a classical pianist and piano teacher with a Bachelor's degree from University of Victoria. I have taught students ranging from 4 to adult for several years using Faber's Piano Adventures method. Through my teaching, students will learn the fundamentals in piano playing and rudiments of theories such as reading notes on staff and basic music symbols/rhythms.

Lesson details

I give 30 minutes or 1 full hour lessons. I offer teachings to all ages, from beginner to advanced. For beginners I start with the Faber's Piano Adventures method series to give them a well structured introduction to basic piano playing. Students are required to bring at least 3 books to the lesson: Lesson, Theory, and Technique & Artistry. Lesson and Technique book will be used to teach students new pieces and technical exercises that goes along with the specific repertoire. At the end of each lesson, I will assign written activities from the Theory book that reinforces the concepts learned in each lesson.
