About me

I started playing the piano at an early age of (2 1/2-3 yrs old) I have been told. Music is the colour of life and everyone should have the opportunity to discover the pleasures of self-expression. Formal music lessons gave me the opportunity to choose to play music from different composers according to the moods I was experiencing. Hours can go by very quickly sitting at the piano. It is often said "playing the piano or other instruments as well as singing engages our whole being including our mind, body and spirit".

I feel it is important to develop the student's potential to enjoy music rather than aim to pass examinations or levels. Only a small percentage of students will become concert artists, however many of us will discover the joys of music and share it in the community.

Piano and theory teacher for many years. Owner-Director of Allegro Music School Inc. since 1992 (20th year anniversary).
