About me

I received my Bachelor of Music from Wilfird Laurier University where I studied piano under the direction of Leslie Kinton, of the duo Anagnoson and Kinton, critically acclaimed concert pianist Eve Egoyan, and veteran pedagogue Ralph Elsaesser.

At Laurier, I continued to pursue my love for choral music with the WLU Choir, under the direction of Grammy nominated conductor, Noel Edison. I was also selected by Mr. Edison to sing with the WLU Chamber Choir.

I began singing with the Grand Philharmonic Choir and Chamber Singers under the direction of Howard Dyck - a member of the Order of Canada and recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. I began receiving opportunities for solo work as a soprano.

Looking to broaden my experience of choral works, I joined the Da Capo Chamber Choir under the direction of Juno nominated composer, Leonard Enns. The choir explores mainly unaccompanied contemporary works. I was introduced to the lush harmonies of contemporary music, and learned of the abundance of incredible Canadian composers.

My passion for music does not only fulfill me as a performer, but as a teacher too. I have taught piano for 21 years and love sharing my passion for music with others. I have conducted a children’s choir for several years, retiring just recently to pursue other passions. I am quite certain that I will return to conducting in the future, as inspiring the love of music to others brings me great joy.

Currently I am pursuing the opportunity of singing Bach Cantatas with the Spiritus Ensemble. This group, conducted by Dr. Kenneth Hull, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to performing great religious music, with a focus on the amazing music of Bach.
