Müzewest Concerts presents violinist Haik Kazazyan in Canadian début

Distinguished violinist Haik Kazazyan is set to make his Canadian début at the grand opening of Müzewest Concerts' third season on Friday, October 30th.

The concert will take place at Pyatt Hall (843 Seymour Street) in Vancouver at 7:30pm and will feature Kazazyan performing the music of Bach, Beethoven, Khachaturian, and Saint-Saëns with accompaniment by Dr. Sergei Saratovsky on piano.

The concert is being held, in part, to commemorate the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Orginally from Yerevan, Armenia, Kazazyan has trained at both the Moscow Conservatory and the Royal College of Music and is a prize winner of many international competitions, including, most recently, at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition. His playing has been described by the New York Times as "an assured performance that revealed the music's contemplative lyricism".
