About me

Hello everyone
My name is Domenico, I'm from Italy and I'm 28. I started studying piano when I was eight and since then I always continued studying and discovering the beauty of the classical music through the piano.
I entered in the conservatory at eleven and I achieved the Bachelor degree with honors ten years later. I've also received the prize as a best diploma of the year at the conservatory "O. Respighi" in Latina (Italy) and in that occasion I played in Rome, Latina and Frosinone music by Schumann. In 2010 I started the Master degree in Musical Disciplines in Foggia (Italy) I played solo recital for the musical season "Assaggi di Musica" music by Beethoven and Schumann. One year later I was elected for the erasmus program at Estonian Music Academy and Theatre, Tallinn (Estonia) and that year I studied with Peep Lassman. The following year I applied for the erasmus placement at the same academy studying with Mati Mikalai. Coming back in Italy, I concluded my Master degree with honors. In 2012 I applied for the Master degree in Piano Performance at Estonian Music Academy and Theatre in Tallinn studying with M. Mikalai and Ivari Ilja. I worked in collaboration with the conductor K. Kisiel playing the concerto in D major by Haydn. Later In collaboration with other two young pianists (M. Helske and M. Laidna) I organized a three concerts tour through the Estonia in which I played music by Debussy and Prokofiev.
The years of my education in the Estonian environment trained me in a holistic way, studying solo performing, orchestras repertoire, chamber music, harpsichord, basso continuo, contemporary music and many other aspects discovered by my self studying psychology, children development, communication, human resources, computers technology and other subjects.
My main focus in the music is the cognitive developmental approach. I'm convinced that every person of any age can learn music, it depends only on the methodology that the teacher try the use in order to switch on the interest of the students.

"If students have interest, then education happens" said Arthur C. Clark.

My philosophy is to find the key that open the door of the interest of any students, and I do it building around them the environment that can stimulate their interest, the desire to practice and to keep searching by themselves in many different ways.

Lesson details

The lessons are structured according to the needs of each individual. The variety and vastness of the individuality of each student is the most important aspect to bear in mind and so the methodology to adopt is different every time. Basically based on observation and communication, I build a structure that can allow the students to understand how it works their way of understanding and learning and helping them to develop.
