Vladislava Mars

North Vancouver BC | V7M 1K9

About me

Vlada’s piano education started when she was seven, in a school for musical talents in Belgrade, Serbia. During her ten years of elementary and secondary music school, she studied piano, solfeggio, theory, harmony and the history of music. Vlada was studying musicology at the Academy of Music in Belgrade when she began to teach piano and was the co-founder of a Little Music School for young children where she helped prepare them for their later musical education.

When she and her family moved to Vancouver in 1994, she developed a music program for young children ages 3-5 and taught private piano lessons to beginners and advanced piano players, children as well as adults.

Vlada is passionate about her work. She is currently teaching at the Hollyburn Country Club, in West Vancouver, where she has been teaching since 1997. Vlada is also Hollyburn's Fine Arts Coordinator, and is overlooking lessons for a variety of instruments, including violin, guitar, piano and voice. She also organizes both Christmas and Spring Recitals for all of these instruments.

In celebration of her tenure, Vlada had her first solo piano concert in spring 2007. Her program included classical and original music, under the theme "Music from the Movies". Her second piano perfor-mance was in June 2009, with a selection of music themed after the different aspects of love.
Vlada looks forward to share her passion for music with everyone willing. She targets not only those interested in the performing arts and piano music, but every person who understands and wishes to enjoy the art of music.
