About me

For Student Progress Videos, performance videos, MP3's and detailed background information, please visit www.StephanieQuinn.com.  Stephanie Quinn, a two time Carnegie Hall performer, with over 25 years teaching experience enjoys imparting her knowledge, sharing her love of music and inspiring her students. Her students have included scholarship winners to Interlochen, and other schools, those with special needs, as well as mentoring other teachers.

Specialties

Because Ms. Quinn possesses strong sensitivity, she is able to unlock 'mysterious' special needs students and teach where others have failed. She is also a good emotional meter, and gifted with the ability to impart how to get past the notes and communicate musically.

Lesson details

Ms. Quinn starts with note reading and proper technique from the very first lesson, considering both of equal importance. Each lesson starts with technique, then cover the assignment, then teaching new concepts.

Education and Accreditation

Eastman School of Music.
Also studied with Felix Galimir at Juilliard, and Gerardo Ribeiro at Northwestern University.
