Stanislava Deltcheva, MMus

North Vancouver BC | V7R 3J9

About me

Having grown up in Bulgaria, my formal musical education was based on the Russian piano school traditions. Later, during my postgraduate studies in Canada and the USA, I became acquainted with a variety of other ideas and methods. I had the privilege of studying with some of the most distinguished musicians and teachers in Bulgaria, Canada, and the USA.

I have performed a wide variety of music as a soloist, concerto soloist, and an ensemble musician.

Teaching has always been an important part of my professional life. In addition to teaching privately, I have also taught at the following schools: Cairo Conservatory (Cairo, Egypt), University of Victoria (Victoria, BC), Temple University (Philadelphia, PA),and Settlement Music School (Philadelphia, PA). My students consistently achieve excellent results on the RCM exams, festivals, and at other performance venues.

My versatile musical background and life experiences help me to develop highly customized music study programs, unique for every student, based on age, abilities, cultural background, and personal goals.

Lesson details

I believe that everyone is capable of learning to play and enjoy music. My goal is to inspire lifelong enthusiasm for music as well as to teach the skills necessary to play and enjoy the beautiful piano repertoire with confidence. I strive to provide a strong technical foundation and musical independence at any level of ability.

Improving aural perception, acquiring reading skills, and developing confident and fluent technique are essential components of every lesson. During the late intermediate and advanced levels of study, the emphasis on repertoire and style gradually increases.

Many performance opportunities are available to students.

My studio is located on the west side of North Vancouver. It is easily accessible from West Vancouver, Vancouver, and Burnaby, as well.
