About me

I became a piano teacher many years ago after graduating from accredited music colleges (2)in former USSR, the country well known for a very high level of music education.
By now I have played the piano for 44 years, went to school for it for 19 years, and have many years of teaching experience behind my belt. Meanwhile, I never stopped improving my own performing skills. My repertoire consists mostly of music pieces by Chopin, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky.
I sincerely believe in the role of music education in raising a well-balanced successful young person in today's society.
My teaching methods are based on needs that my students have. Everybody is different, there is not such a thing as 'one size fit all'.
I am a member of MTNA, MMTA and Metropolitan Detroit Musicians League. My students participate in SATs, competitions and monthly recitals besides my own class recitals that take place twice a year.
