About me

I started piano lessons at age 5, but never imagined that I would end up as a teacher! In my senior year of high school, I started student-teaching with my current teacher. I continued in this student-teaching program until my graduation in 2006, when I opened my own private studio. I have been teaching ever since.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD where I studied under Dr. David Krieder. I am a member of county, state, and national Music Teachers' Associations. For more information about me and my studio, please visit:

I believe in working to meet each students' individual goals, and therefore, try to cater my teaching style to each student's needs. I incorporate a variety of activities into weekly lessons to help make music fun and exciting for my students.

Lesson details

I am a private piano instructor operating in Carroll and Howard County MD. I teach from two studio locations, and offer flexible lesson scheduling for reasonable pricing. I teach weekly individual lessons, and in addition offer class lessons each term where my students can experience music in a group setting. I hold a fall and a spring recital for my studio.

I teach 3 terms each year: spring, summer, and fall. Students pay on a monthly basis, with payment due by the end of the second lesson week.

My students enjoy participating in a structured practice incentive contest each term that rewards students for their efforts and encourages personal progress and responsibility from week to week.
