Lesson details

Piano Lessons are year round. See the studio policy for information concerning summer lessons.

• Individual piano lessons will be held on a weekly basis for one-half hour, forty-five minutes, or one hour (as decided upon by instructor and parent/student).

• Students should arrive on time and be prepared with all music materials.

• Lessons are specifically designed to meet the needs of each student.

• Repertoire will be selected that is appropriate to the student’s level of proficiency.

• Parents are encouraged to drop the students off on time and pick them up promptly after the lesson. Parents are also welcome to observe lessons so they may assist with piano practice at home.

• Students will develop musicianship through technique, rhythm, sight reading, theory & ear training.

• Students will study literature of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist/Early 20th Century & Contemporary periods, as well as jazz and pop.

PIANO COMMITMENT

• Once a student has reserved a time for piano lessons, it is expected that they stay with that commitment for the full semester. If a student decides to stop piano lessons a 2-week notice must be given to instructor.
