About me

I have studied music since age 6. I have been teaching for 28 years. I also compose and write music for local artists.I teach children from ages 5-18 as well as adults. I have had students graduate in music with Masters and Bachelors degrees. Many award winning students that have competed in the American Guild of Music, Michigan Music Association and Michigan Federation of Music Clubs. Along with teaching piano I also supplement some theory and ensemble work.

Specialties

I teach a wide variety of genres, which include classical, pop, rock, jazz,etc. I'am able to develop a students strengths and weaknesses to make them a well rounded musician. I make music enjoyable for all students, for I believe the end result is to enjoy music to its fullest potential.

Lesson details

Lessons are available in half hours, 45 min and hour.
Depending at what level your at determines the amount of time for your lesson.

Education and Accreditation

I graduated from college with a bachelors degree and had won numerous awards playing local competitions. I have judged competitions for the American Guild of Music, Michigan Music Association, and other local competitions and evaluations. I have had the opportunity to teach at the Macomb Community College Summer Piano Workshops for over 10 years.I also taught at Hammell Music for about 17 years. As a songwriter I have written and recorded 3 cds for local artists in the past 8 years and have had one of my songs signed by a national music library in Los Angeles.
