About me

As a teacher, I have worked with folks of all ages and truly enjoy helping others learn the language of music and finding their unique voice within it. I have extensive training and performance experience in jazz, classical, and popular genres. I teach piano, voice, songwriting/composition, and guitar, bringing in a lot of different techniques, repertoire, theory, and ear training to the lesson. We start by discovering your innate skills and knowledge and then build on that. My philosophy is that music is a pure form of expression and everyone can learn to access it on their own level. I’ve taught at a variety of music schools around Vancouver including Tom Lee Music, Arts Umbrella, Long & McQuade, and the Squamish Academy of Music.
