Keyano College School of Music

Music students enter a world of opportunities at Keyano College. Performing ensembles include the choir, concert band, jazz band, small vocal ensemble, guitar ensemble and string group, all of which are showcased on a regular basis. Small class sizes, exceptional facilities, highly qualified and experienced faculty all contribute to providing a setting where your opportunities are endless.

Students who are relatively new musicians may be placed in the Music Preparatory year, an introductory program designed for students with a limited background in music. Initial courses in theory, ear training, music reading, history and practical applied subjects will give students the necessary tools to commence their musical training.

An audition and placement exam will determine if you need to enter the preparatory year or if your prior experience will enable you to enroll in year one of the diploma program.
