About me

Beautiful playing inspires me. My teaching goal with every student is to shape their performance to produce beautiful sounds and phrases. Students learn to put their own self-expression into their music, to extract from the piano exactly what they want to say through their hands and feet. My philosophy is to teach articulation and skill mastery, focusing on one skill at a time to build an arsenal of musical technique, right from the start of lessons. The student learns to pay attention to detail, strive to reach higher standards, and to feel immense satisfaction from beautiful playing. The pursuit of excellence underlies all we do in the studio.
