About me

I have been a professional pianist, vocalist, composer, conductor and arranger for over 30 years. My musicianship covers the classics, jazz, pop and rock music. I believe, as Duke Ellington once said, "there only two kinds of music - good music and bad music, amd bad music is good music that someone is playing badly".

I insist on teaching theory alongside the practical, since theory enables understanding of the material and therefore enhances the performing of it.
