Q. What are the membership requirements for the PTF?
A. The membership requirements are:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be a full-time piano teacher.
- Have graduated from a recognized University, College or Conservatory with a Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, or Graduate Degree.
Q. Will there be a membership for the PTF in the future?
A. No. Membership is entirely free and is exclusively for professional piano teachers.
Q. Can I make changes to my profile?
A. Yes, simply login in with your username and password and click on edit. If you have misplaced your password use the password recovery tab in the login page.
Q. How can I increase my exposure on the website?
A. There are many things that you can do to increase your exposure.
- Get a video done. Call PTF at (604) 732-8835 for more information.
- Make sure you complete your profile and fill in all of the criteria.
- Write an article and share your knowledge.
- Have testimonials on your profile from parents and students.
- Create a discussion and get other teachers involved.
Q. How can I use the Masonic Centre for recitals?
A. Call PTF in advance to book the dates you need the venue.
Q. How can I get more involved with the PTF?
A. Apply to join the Advisory Board and share your professional and personal expertise.
For Students
Q. Do I need to create a profile to use the site?
A. No. Only teachers may create a profile with administrative approval.
Q. How do I find a piano teacher?
A. On our home page, use the "Find a piano teacher near you" search box; or click on the "Find a Music Teacher" button on the Navigation bar.
Q. What levels are taught by the PTF teachers?
A. Our member teachers teach all levels from beginners to advance. From the very first lesson up to university levels.
Q. What ages are taught by the PTF teachers?
A. We have teachers who teach very young children and adults of all ages.
Q. In what languages do PTF teachers teach?
A. Cantonese, Mandarin, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish et Ukrainian, and many more.
