About me

I was born in Odessa, Ukraine and, I studied music for 17 years. After music school, Musical College, and then, University with the Master degrees in Art and Music. I work as piano accompanist to other musicians, orchestras, ensembles, choirs, singers, and, as a solo piano performer in the different concerts, and venues. I was involved playing piano in the cultural events in Vancouver: festivals, concerts in the communities, like Polish, Russian, and Jewish.

I teach piano for 35 years. In Vancouver, I have an established studio with a generation of students graduate to be a teachers themselves, and professional musicians who perform all over the world. I also teach music in Montessori school for 3-5 years old children. I am qualified to teach theory, history and musical arrangements of music as well-Being able to do that I worked in the musical theatre as an artistic director, and a pianist. I can teach voice to the beginners, children 10-15 years old.

All levels, all ages. Grade 1-10.Classical or for fun.

Lesson details

It is private lessons, based on the age and interests.30min each class for the beginners, 45-1h for intermediate and advance students. I teach all styles: classical music, pop, jazz, and church music as well. All grated from Grade 1-10. All ages, incl. adults. Adult’s method of teaching is different, based on keys and chords progression and easy songs. For children I use simple methods books, like Bastian.

On the interview I determine which books, or methods, or approach, or how much time takes for the lesson for the future student.
I also teach voice, age 10-15.

Education and Accreditation

I graduate musical college in Murmansk with degree of BA as a piano teacher, and accompanist.1964-1968.After that, I study in Vinnitsa, Kiev region at University, graduated with Master degree, as choir master, school music teacher, conductor.1971-1975
