At the age of 16, he entered the Glier State Music College in Kiev, Ukraine, where he studied with Sofia Tal'yanskaya for 4 years. Then, he became a student of the internationally renowned professor Tatjana Kravchenko at the Tchaikovsky National Conservatoire in Kiev, graduating with a Masters of Music degree after 5 years. During his studies Dmitri was continuously giving concerts across the Ukraine. After graduation, he began to work as a piano teacher in a specialized music school in Kiev, where he taught for 20 years. Many of his students chose music as their profession.
