About me

Daria Fedorova - Russian concert pianist.
As a young prodigy Daria began her career at the age of 10 winning the Grand-Prix at the Open Music Competition of M.Rostropovich in 2000, in Russia. At 15 Daria entered the prestigious College of the Moscow State Conservatory of P.Tchaikovsky. After graduating in 2009 Daria moved to Holland to study with well-known Russian Professor Tamara Poddubnaya at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, Netherlands.
In 2011 Daria was fortunate to be selected by famous Canadian pianist Richard Raymond to do her Master's at the Concervatoire de Musique de Montreal. Daria received her Master Degree in 2013, winning the highest distinction for her final performance.
Daria is a winner of many international competitions such as the Princess Christina Competition in the Netherlands, and the International Piano Competition "Europe-Asia" in Russia, where Daria was awarded the diploma for the best performance of works by F.Chopin. During her studies she was awarded many scholarships, grants and prizes.
Daria leads an active concert life giving solo and chamber recitals, as well as performing as part of the Fedorova & Takser Piano Duo, and collaborating with well-known Canadian conductors such as Louis Lavigueur and Raffi Armenian.
In Moscow, being a student of the famous Professor of Pedagogy Nina Levitskaya (Student of Lev Oborin and Eugene Timakin), Daria absorbed the best traditions of the Russian piano method, and she is now successfully sharing all her knowledge and performing experience with her students.
