About me

♪ Catherine has been studying piano since she was six years old with teachers including Irene Thompson, Sister Annarose Griffin, Mary Ann Beaumont and Judit Jaimes. She continues to study with Elena Abend.

♪ Professional affiliations include the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), the WTMA (Wisconsin Music Teachers Association) and the MMTA (Milwaukee Music Teachers Association).

♪ Other musical activities include singing with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus.

♪ Before completing her Music degree and subsequently changing career paths, she worked for 21 years in the banking industry in various positions including Personal Banker, Training Specialist, Conversion Representative and Business Analyst.

Lesson details

♪ Private piano lessons for 30, 45 or 60 minutes are provided in my home on the North Shore of Milwaukee in Fox Point.

♪ Lessons include:
- All Styles of Repertoire (Classical, Jazz, Blues, Popular)
- Technique & Artistry
- Theory
- Ear Training
- Eye Training
- Music History
- Two Studio Recitals Per Year

♪ Lessons are offered year-round to students from age 7 through adult.

♪ Beginning to late intermediate levels are taught, using the Faber "Piano Adventures" teaching method.

Education and Accreditation

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University. She also earned a Certificate in Vocal Performance from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
