Autumn Shift Festival 2011
The annual Autumn Shift Festival on Saturday, September 17th where traffic was blocked off to host the festival showcasing local businesses and community organizations. The Piano Teachers Federation and Pacey's Pianos had a booth with a Mason & Hamlin grand piano in the middle of the street and had a different player every hour. Performers were a combination of customers of Pacey's and teacher members of the PTF. At first the weather did not look like it would cooperate, but with a bit of luck and the positive energies , the clouds cleared up and the sun shone.
It was a great opportunity for teachers to get out into the community and for local residents, especially children, to be exposed to beautiful piano music. Twice in the day, a child had said that they had never heard classical music in person before. The participating teachers offered a free lesson to prospective students to Pacey's gave away a free tuning and coupons for discounted service. At the end of the day, it was a huge success and everyone was happy.
