Pedagogical philosophy is student/individual first; musical expression of individual follows... left brain learners: music theory emphasis .. right brain learners: music composition/improvisation emphasis.. keyboard artistry is realized holistically; all students learn to listen, read and express; not necessarily in this order. Have been teaching piano, violin and composition since 1983, have been using Faber&Faber since 2006; also Music for Mozarts

Students have continued to graudate school as music majors; are all on professional career vocations (medicine, law, engineering,)

Lesson details

Student paced. Approach is to encourage each student to be self-starters, with adults available only as a reference
