Allysia Kerney

Toronto ON | M4V 2K2

About me

Allysia teaches private piano lessons at your home in the midtown Toronto area. Originally from Saskatchewan, she has been teaching for over 6 years through Long and McQuade, where she received extensive training and the opportunity to teach students of all ages and skill levels. She is currently working toward her ARCT diploma in performance and pedagogy.

Specialties

Allysia specializes in educating students in their early to late teens, though children over 7 and adults are welcome too. Classically trained, she loves to work with that type of repertoire, but has also spent time training in contemporary styles, in addition to performing in contemporary groups.

Lesson details

Lessons are booked in weekly sessions of either 45 or 60 minutes. The student will get to work on a variety of material, such as technical exercises, classical and contemporary music appropriate to their level, ear and sight training, theory, history and composition.
