Acadia University School of Music

The School of Music at Acadia University offers a comprehensive music curriculum where students develop expertise in a chosen area of specialization while also broadening their horizons by exploring some of the other diverse course offerings we provide.

We believe in educating the whole musician as performer, composer, scholar, and educator. We also offer elective courses in music technology, recording studio techniques, Alexander technique, composition, conducting, music therapy, music theatre, popular music, and world music.

The School of Music is located in Harvey Denton Hall on the campus of Acadia University in the beautiful town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Our facilities include digitally-enhanced classrooms equipped with laptop network drops, a digital recording studio, a midi lab, and an electronic keyboard lab. We offer many opportunities to perform in large and small ensembles including a touring Wind Ensemble, annual opera and music theatre productions, as well as a new music festival.
