Exhibiting- Car Free Day on Main Street - 2011

June 19, 2011 Piano Techers Federation with Pacey's Pianos brought a beautiful Mason & Hamlin piano onto the middle of the street during Car Free Day on Main St. The rains held off for the all-day, 2 kilometre long event stretching down Main St. in Vancouver. It was truly a musical event with stages throughout the length, often 2 per block and covering all genres, styles, and performers. More than 75,000 people attended the day-long festival and a steady flow of passersby stayed to enjoy the piano performances. The PTF stage featured 12 teacher members performing pieces from classic to contemporary, formal to improv. We want to send a special thank you to all who participated, everyone who helped bring it to gether, and all who stopped by to enjoy the hard work.
